My Best Poems

Here are the best poems I have written so far!

The Dawn’s Light

As dawn brings its orange light,
The trees and bushes start to quiver,
For no longer is it night,
The life emerges; and does deliver.

The quiet night has been and gone,
And now the trees are full of song,
The mist does rise; the skies clear,
It almost feels like a new year.

The Undergrowth

That dense undergrowth blows about,
And an occasional flower does sprout,
But the ground remains green,
The flowers unseen,
Shrubbery covers those windy plains,
Not even a place to plant those grains,
And once the sun rises,
There are no compromises,
And the shrubs grow into the lanes.

Far Away

So close, yet so far away,
That harsh dawn does start the day,
The people maddened by passersby,
A threat to their home and life.

A solemn song from far away,
The cold night does turn to day,
Maybe from their weary grave,
A way forward they might pave.

The Bush

Walking through that treacherous bush,
The night calls; and gives one a push,
The end is near; the hope begins,
Whoever can survive, wins.

Cold and windy; wet and wild,
The stormy weather is not mild,
But one must carry on,
Whoever gives up is surely gone.

The Quiet Little Place

Quiet, calm solitude,
A place of thought and rest,
Full of flowers and bushes,
No feeling of being stressed.

Far at the end of the forest,
Is that quiet little place,
Voiceless and secluded,
In all its elegant grace.
