I'm Writing a New Book (The Adventures of Emejulia Smith Will Release Soon)

Image
So, I'm writing a new novel called Of the Coast and the Forests , which is inspired by the works of John Steinbeck and other similar authors. Don't worry - The Adventures of Emejulia Smith will release soon; we're just having some internal delays at Beinevach CreativeWorks. My new novel, Of the Coast and the Forests , will be about kindness and community and will be set in a fictional area on the West Coast of New Zealand. I don't want to spoil too much, but the first line of the book is, "In the beauteous land of the coast and the forests lies a dream; a dream of better days, a dream of friendship and kindness, a dream of hope and resistance." Here are the proposed front cover and back cover designs (we've gotten better since the last time lol): Front cover design Back cover design

Weekly Poems: The Lands of Hate and Woe

Hello! Welcome back to Weekly Poems . Remember that my poems are original works and cannot be copied under law ✨. The Lands of Hate and Woe Flying above the cold dark lands, Is hope shining inexorably, Fair and winsome, bright and sweet, Is one who breaks the worldly line. Graceful colours red and blue, O’er the lands of hate and woe, Beauteous and shining light, Orbs of hope, how short so ever. Infallible in thought and ways, Perfect at the eyes full glance, The darkness fades, and colour comes, Not a flaw to be perceived. ©️ 2023 Bleys Robertson

The United States is a Dystopia

What's going on in the U.S. right now is insane; with non-existent gun laws, Ron Desantis's anti-trans bills and an increasingly right-wing GOP, it's practically a dystopia. It's crazy that a child could be shot in a school in America and then not be able to receive care because their parents can't afford it. Here are some things that America desperately needs to have in order to maintain democracy and quality of living: Medicare for All Equal Rights Amendment Constitutional protection of the LGBTQ community, POC, etc. Easily available abortion care Fair and democratic policies Better gun laws (similar to that of New Zealand) Since I live in New Zealand, which has free healthcare, abortion for all people, and other essential things, I have quite a different perspective on America than Americans. I think America should be more like New Zealand or Australia; and if you're in America, please vote blue in 2024 to maintain democracy!

Weekly Poems: That Old Hawthorn Tree

Hello folks! Today's post is the first instalment of Weekly Poems , a weekly series of posts showcasing my poetic works. Remember that my poems are original works and cannot be copied under law 😎. That Old Hawthorn Tree Oh, by that old hawthorn tree, Does freedom reign and liberty live, Oh, how great is the land of the free, Where kindness prospers and people give. The wicked ways, the roughest stream, Do not taint the great reflection, The coldest day, the worst dream, The purity calls from the section. ©️ 2023 Bleys Robertson

The Adventures of Emejulia Smith Promotional Blurb

I know you're all desperate for more information on my new book, The Adventures of Emejulia Smith, so I have written a new promotional blurb! The Adventures of Emejulia Smith Bleys Robertson’s latest novel! “One day you’ll be walking down a gravel path at the foot of a beautiful hill, admiring liberty, and they’ll shoot you in the back. You won’t even see it coming; you won’t see the shooter.” In this shocking and thoughtful novel, renowned author Bleys Robertson brings to light the flaws of capitalism and warns about the path that modern society is heading down. Follow the stunning journey of Emejulia, a plentfruitfulist stuck in a dystopian capitalist society in which the government has total control, there are no unions, religion or freedom of thought, and greedy corporations rule the lands. Will Emejulia escape from the woeful society she is stuck in, or will she be killed at the hands of the authorities before she can try?
