But anyways I did say I'm mostly posting on the Weekends. Which I am probably going to do without forgetting. The preface then describes a theory that humans were sent to earth through space in a spacecraft from millions of miles away. Before the invasion Before the invasion occurs, the novel describes the daily life of Mr Richards, collecting samples, researching and interacting with locals. He is particularly friendly with Farmer John Walkey. They interact many times, and when Farmer Walkey is sick, Mr Richards contemplates suicide.
